Creating Change

Through our work in Kibera, thousands of children have had access education, achieve academic success, and build brighter futures. With 1,500 children returned to school, a 98% primary school completion rate, and 100% transition to secondary school, our impact is undeniable. But there is still more to be done. Join us in creating lasting change—support a child, empower a family, and transform a community today!

3 out of 10 children of preschool age in Kenya do not attend preschool and 4 in 10 children of primary school-going age are out of school due to lack of school fees. Most of these children are in rural areas and urban informal settlements like Kibera (FLANA Report, 2023).

“Janet a 12-year-old orphaned girl, lives with her grandmother and 9 other siblings and cousins. Her grandmother struggles to feed the large family and cannot afford to keep all the children in school, forcing Janet to drop out of school at Grade 5. As a young girl out of school, Janet faces the expectation she will try to earn money for her family which increases her risk of exploitation, abuse, early pregnancy, and sexually transmitted diseases.”
